NSU PaintBall

NSU ROTC conducted Paintball exercises between the Library and Wilson Hall on the Tahlequah Campus Wednesday 9/1/2010. The program allowed NSU Students the opportunity to get involved by playing a little capture the flag against our Cadets. Even with sporadic rain, we had a great turn out and everyone had an outstanding time. Cadets gained a great deal of knowledge with regard to Individual Movement Techniques as well as Offensive / Defensive ratios required to overtake positions.

CWST

Today our NSU ROTC Cadets completed their first Combat Water Survival Training (CWST) this year.  CWST is a requirement of all ROTC cadets. Cadets are required to conduct a 3-meter drop into water, blind folded and carrying a mock M-16 rifle. They are also required to swim 15 meters in uniform with gear while keeping a mock M-16 rifle out of the water. Additionally, cadets must demonstrate removal techniques of their equipment while submerged.
